A Big Thank You
To the Best Supporters Ever,
I have delayed writing to you because I wanted to first read the scores of emails and Facebook postings that people have sent. The communications are just unbelievable, encouraging, and sobering. There is just no way that Ruth Ann and I can thank you enough for your part in this campaign. The people we have met and the commitment we have witnessed is unparalleled. In all our Town Meetings and Coffees we have held across the state people came noncommittal or often times in support of my opponent. But, in nearly 95% of the cases, they left fully committed to the Movement and to our platform of truth because it made sense. I am humbled at the recollection of a vast number of people including dozens of men who came to me with tears in their eyes and who said, “I had no hope in anyone in the system. I had given up until tonight. Thank you for telling the truth! I will vote for you and work for you.”
And the movement grew. You have all been a part of what became the finest campaign support team I’ve ever seen. Our team’s commitment to the cause was superb. The commitment to excellence was unmatched. And, the attitude and commitment to honesty and the highest of ethical standards has set a new standard for campaign operations in this state. I am so thankful for them and their countless hours of work – some totally volunteer and unpaid. Together with them, you and I established the “high ground” for political campaigns and defended it well. We can hold our heads high.
Ruth and I like you, are disappointed and having to work through the “death of a vision”. We were all working at such breakneck speed, enduring sleepless nights and long, long days. To slam the car into “park” as we all were driving so fast down the road wreaks havoc on the transmission and I think we are all feeling it. I want you to know that I have been thinking much today about a lot of things. I have looked back but truly can’t find anything that we should have done differently. Our message was right on. We know that given just 3 weeks more, election results would have been turned around. So did our opponent which is likely the reason they decided to go negative in the final days. Unfortunately, the campaign was unable to obtain the large financial sums necessary to inform vast numbers of voters through TV or greater usage of radio. Yet, I was committed to not going negative and instead prayed that you and others talking to neighbors and friends would make the difference. It did make a huge difference. We just ran out of time. In the end, God has another plan and I encourage us all to recognize that truth, then be glad for all that was learned in this process and look forward to how we can proceed from this point.
Now the question from many is, “Where do we go from here?” Hundreds of people are urging me to stay involved, to lead this movement for a return to integrity, to the Constitution, and fiscal discipline. Some are saying, “Run for the US Senate seat against Sen. Casey in 2012”. Others are recommending other things. I know that what has developed in this “Stand Up for Pennsylvania” movement is unique and powerful. I feel indebted to you to remain involved and to move forward in the best way possible because our freedom is at stake. I would like you know that I am contemplating my next steps and how I can continue to support this movement which we together have initiated. I want what is God’s will for me and for this Commonwealth and am willing to do it. I am seeking counsel, talking with my family, and praying for wisdom now to determine how best to move forward in this cause. I hope to come to some conclusion in the very near future. I will advise you more later.
If you would have suggestions as to how you think I could or should proceed, please let me know at: ideas@samrohrer.org . Again, I can not thank you enough for your support. You have helped to make this campaign what it was – a unique and positive experience, and one that will continue. The cause of freedom will require our continued and active involvement. I look forward to being involved with you.
God bless you all.
Sam, Ruth Ann and family

Sam, I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done. You have given me, as well as countless others, hope. Hope that there are politicians with morals left out there, hope that God is listening to our prayers for a leader with conviction, and most of all, hope in restoring our great nation back to it’s principles. Please do not give up the fight. We will stand behind you. Whatever you decided to do next, know that you have a vast network of supporters ready and and more than willing to help you with your endeavors.
May 20th, 2010 at 12:26 pmWhile I was working the polls and talking to an older gentlemen who said he should be retired but had to work (although he couldn’t find work, as he said ‘who wants to hire a 69 year old) and that he had friends who lost their homes due to non payment of taxes all I could think was that maybe tomorrow, hope is on the way. He also told me of a mother of four who just had her electric turned off and could not get help. It struck me that elections are not about politics but about people and there is real suffering in PA. Today I feel that although we lost, those of us who are young enough and strong enough must continue to fight for your ideas, especially an end to property taxes. We owe it to our seniors to keep up the fight. Thank you for leading the way.
May 20th, 2010 at 2:11 pmTHANK YOU!! Please know that you always have the support of me and my family. Our time will come.
May 20th, 2010 at 2:14 pmI have never campaigned for anyone before. You were the first candidate I belived in enough to get involved. Of course, I’m disappointed that you didn’t win, but I found the whole campaign experience exhilarating. I was a poll greeter in West Caln 2 precinct of Chester Co (you got 67% at that precinct). I feel I made a difference, this will be my inspiration to continue to be involved in politics. I’m investigating how to become a committee person in the republican party and change the party from the ground up. Thank you for the motivation.
May 20th, 2010 at 4:22 pmA Big Thank You to YOU for giving the people of PA hope, and for integrity in politics.
May 20th, 2010 at 5:17 pmA Big Thank you to YOU
May 20th, 2010 at 5:22 pmOriginally advised about Sam Rorer by PTCC I viewed several videos and t.hought this is a man who supports\my value system/ Then I went to a town hall meeting and was abosolutely sure you were the person who should be the next Gov. of Pa. I had no trouble recruiting several friends by simply asking them to watch one of your videos. Sam, you were a breath of fresh air and, although I realized you had a very big hill to climb the effort was worth the fight. I am of course devasted that you lost the race but you certalinly made your name known to many in Pa. who did not have a clue who Sam Rohrer was. You must not give up the fight Pa. needs you and others who who have the same moral integrity to right this ship; of state. Pleas stay involved.
May 20th, 2010 at 5:35 pmvery disheartening. We got up early on a rainy day to vote Job 1. (and indeed even had changed our party just to be able to vote in the primary for Sam). I think Berks County pulled together pretty well, but WHERE IN HELL were the rest of you!? You bitch and bitch about taxes, but cannot even appear at the poles?! Who knows where to go from here when you cannot even get people to understand how they can make a difference to exercise their right to vote. I am not just disheartened. I am flat out disgusted. Sorry for those who are too dumb to get it Sam and Ruth. I pray you do not give up on us.
May 20th, 2010 at 6:31 pmYou know, years ago I promised myself two things: One, that I would never push any one candidate; only issues. And two, that I would never, EVER, put a bumper sticker on my car. Well, now I have four bumper stickers on my car, all endorsing a single candidate!
Sam, it was an honor working for you, and I sincerely hope we continue the fight into November.
May 20th, 2010 at 6:37 pmSam thank you so much for your work and for running in this election. You didn’t win (unfortunately, there are to many liberal, blue blood, establishment Republicans in this Commonwealth), but you gave me and every other conservative in PA the opportunity to go to the polls and cast a vote for a candidate we were proud to vote for. After voting Tuesday, I felt good knowing that there were still some good conservatives out there willing to throw their hat into the political arena that I could vote for. Thank you for that and all you have done for 10th amendment rights in the state assembly, good luck in the future – I hope to be able to support you in whatever you choose to do!
May 20th, 2010 at 7:27 pmI fell in love with you and your wife at the breakfast at the Hershey Country Club. I’ve never been so excited to be involved in the political process as I was with helping in whatever way I could. I was encouraged at the polling place where I was handing out fliers for 8 hours on Tuesday because people were voting for you! They knew you were a man of integrity and character and those two things are almost unheard of these days. I’m praying that the Lord gives you wisdom, discernment and peace with the decisions you are wrestling with. I cried like a baby on Tuesday because you were not nominated and then they turned into tears of joy because of the kind of man you are and now others know it too! Whatever you decide to do please know that I am offering complete support. Hang in there guys! You’re the best!
May 20th, 2010 at 9:39 pmYour campaign may have run out of time, but the message you brought is timeless, as well as timely ,for this state and this nation. Proclaiming the truth is never an issue that can be defeated at the ballot box.
It was an honor to meet you and work for a campaign that spoke from the heart for so many of us.
We will certainly be praying for you and your family and that God will confirm to you and many others how to proceed from this point. A run for the Senate seat surely gets my adrenalin going and it makes sense in a lot of different ways.
God bless you and thank you for standing up and giving us all a cause we truly believe in.
May 20th, 2010 at 11:53 pmI never stood at the polls and handed out literature for any candidate until Tuesday when I showed my support of you, Mr. Rohrer. I placed signs in all the prominent places I could think of. On Election Day, I met some wonderful Republican ladies that issued me a certificate which enabled me to be a watcher when tallying up the votes. They now have my number to perhaps get my foot in the door for the Republican County Committee (Dauphin). So are we to do a write-in for you in Novemeber?

May 21st, 2010 at 4:06 pmDear Sam, My husband and I heard you speak in Mercer County at a breakfast. We were excited about your ideas and enjoyed working for you. We too, were disappointed about the results. I feel your pursuit to know God’s will and counsel from family and friends are wise steps. We have and will continue to pray for you, your family and our state and country.
May 22nd, 2010 at 9:51 pmSam, I know many people who could not vote in the primary for many reasons. I also feel that after what I feel is one of the most facist moves ever by any one, of going after people on twitter who critized his campagin I feel that the GOP and Tom Corbett has shot himself in the foot. I feel that you need to continue and run as a third party. You beyond have my and my family and friend’s support but thousands all over PA. You still are spreading like wild fire. Please I urge you to run in November still. You don’t need the republician ticket any way. It is no longer a party or name issue…..
May 22nd, 2010 at 10:36 pmEveryone,
The message that Sam set out to spread to all Pennsylvanians is alive an well. You have two choices that are before you. You can accept the vote that was cast and choose to support candidates that have been placed before you, or you can stand with Sam and continue his message and come November, cast the vote that sends a message to the establishment. Vote for Sam Rohrer as OUR write in Candidate.
The fight has just begun, now lets get to work.
May 23rd, 2010 at 2:55 pmI would love to see a ton of write-in votes for Sam Rohrer in November for Governor. By writing in Sam’s name, we would not have to vote for the “lesser of two evils.” Our options this November for Democrat and Republican are both garbage, so lets do the right thing by writing in Sam Rohrer for Governor!
May 23rd, 2010 at 6:48 pmSam, Dave and I are praying for you and your family. We know you must all be physically and emotionally exhausted. You fought a great fight. We stand with you in whatever decision you make. Just let us know when you need us. We are there beside you as hundreds of thousands of others are also. We are committed to your mission to fix this Commonwealth and make it financially, socially and morally sound.
May 24th, 2010 at 4:37 pmSam I And EVERYONE I know are not giving up!!!!!!!! You will be a write in candidate because I can’t vote for anyone but you I’m not taking my bumper stickers off or my yard signs down let’s keep fighting everyone we can still win this in November even if Sam didn’t get the republican nomination!!! We need to turn pa around and Sam is the man for that job!! Sam you have atleast 20 votes in November from me and neighbors and friends
May 25th, 2010 at 1:27 amSam, Please continue the fight. I wanted to see you as the next Governor. Which ever office you decide to run for next I will support you. Pennsylvania needs you in public office.
